IMPRESSIONS OF MEETING C5 IN GREECE BY POLISH STUDENTS:
Nikola Krukowska, grade 7A:
The flight passed very well. When we arrived at the hotel, we greeted other participants of the Erasmus+ project. We went to a restaurant, after dinner we would move around the city where we had a hotel. Every day we were in many museums that told about the history of Greece and their gods. We had a fixed schedule that showed what the attraction would be today. We also worked in groups in which we created a project about children's rights. We also learned Greek dances. Every day we made new friends. At the farewell party, a lot of people got close to each other, so it was hard for us to say goodbye. It was a fantastic project meeting!
Oskar Klonowski, grade 7a:
I really enjoyed my Erasmus+ trip to Greece. We had lots of fun adventures. What I liked most about school was that it helped me to improve my language and to meet a lot of cool people. I liked the weather the least, but it did not preventus from continuing to Explorer interesting places. We visited the Grand Palace on a beautiful mountain. The food in the restaurants was delicious, I even have a few photos. On the trip, I took a lot of pictures and bought beautiful souvenirs. My family was very happy watching them. I hope to go on Erasmus+ again.
Grzegorz Przybysz, grade 6b:Already at the beginning of the journey, the views of the sea from the plane impressed me, even though I had flown by this means of transport before. I was equally impressed by the Greek dance show because I had no opportunity to take part in such a spectacle. Thanks to this trip with Erasmus+, I also learned to speak not only in my own language but also in English with people I had never seen before. An equally interesting fact for me was that we were in museums where I learned more about Greek culture that I had no idea about.
I will remember this trip for a long time thanks to the fact that I saw it amazingly beautiful place and I met a lot of interesting people.
In my opinion, this trip from the Erasmus+ project was very interesting and thanks to it I learned a lot about Greek culture. Thanks to it, I met a lot of people at my age from other countries.
Aleksander Pienczykowski, grade 7: My impressions from a trip to Greece.
I'll start with Veria. It is a beautiful city with many charming street that are Worth exploring. I especially liked the Library in the City of Veria, which is really impressive. It is also worth visiting the Town Hall and the atmosphere is great.
When it comes to Thessaloniki, this city is really big and offers many attractions. I especially liked the waterfront with a beautiful view of the sea, the Visual work called “Umbrellas” made by Zongolopoulos and the White Tower, which is the symbol of the city. What'smore, Thessaloniki has plenty of shops and restaurants serving traditional Greek cuisine, which will surely appeal to food lovers.
The only thing I didn't like about Veria and Thessaloniki is the traffic. In Thessaloniki in particular, it was quite intense and somewhat chaotic, which made it difficult to move around the city.
So, to gather everything into one short statement: Veria
I liked:
Charming city: Veria is a picturesque city that impresses with its traditional architecture and charming streets.
History and Monuments: Veria has a rich history, and ancient ruins and monuments such as the Church of Saint Barbara make for fascinating places to explore.
Atmosphere: The city has a relaxing and friendly atmosphere, ideal for strolling through parks and cafes, where you can stop for a while and enjoy the surroundings.
I didn't like:
Lack of major tourist attractions: Compared to other popular tourist destinations in Greece, Veria can be considered a smaller and lesser-known place, which means that there is not as much choice of tourist attractions.
Thessaloniki
I liked:
Culture and history: Thessaloniki is full of history, culture and art. You can visit places such as the White Tower, anvisual work called “Umbrellas”, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and much more.
Nightlife and entertainment: Thessaloniki is famous for its pulsating nightlife. There you will find many bars, clubs and restaurants where you can have fun and try the local cuisine.
Beaches: Although Thessaloniki is not your typical seaside town, there are beautiful beaches in the area where you can relax and enjoy the sun.
I didn't like:
Traffic: Thessaloniki is one of the busiest cities in Greece, which can make it a bit difficult to navigate around the city and find parking spaces.
Congestion: Due to Thessaloniki's popularity, especially during the tourist season, it can get quite crowded, which can affect peace and privacy.
Of course, travelers' tastes and preferences vary, so these are just general considerations. Everyone can have their own positive and negative experiences of visiting these places.
I enjoyed the meeting in Greece! It was wonderful!
Karolina Olszewska, grade 6b:
The flight passed peacefully. When we arrived, beautiful weather greeted us. We had a very nice guide. I was very surprised that the water was free. I liked Greek salad and bread from Greek cuisine. We had very interesting trips, for example to Meteora.
Time passed very quickly and interestingly. The Greek school was small but very nice. We saw excellent dance show at the school yard. I was very impressed.
I am very happy that I could visit another country. In my opinion, this is a great option for people who would like to visit other countries and learn about their culture, landscapes and more.
Paulina Pieńkowska, grade 6b:
In my opinion, the trip to Greece was fantastic. I met a lot of great people with whom I made new friends. We visited many museums and a partner school. We could try on Greek national costumes, it was a really interesting and unforgettable experience. I liked the museum the most, where I learned, for example, about the appearance of old schools, old games of students and the way of teaching. I am glad that I had the opportunity to get to know the taste of Greek dishes. Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side as it rained frequently.
